Springer Precision Offset Hanger - RedLast weekend, one of my squad mates approached and asked about my SIG SAUER P320. At least I thought that was what he was referring to. Turns out, he was referencing the offset hanger I use for my Blade-Tech USPSA rig. Although he had seen the Springer Precision Offset Hanger online, he had not seen one in person. We headed over to the Safe Area so he could take a closer look.

He was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship of the hanger and how securely it was attached to the belt. Scott Springer at Springer Precision – based in Bend, Oregon – is one of the Team SIG sponsors and has helped quite a few team members with their holster setups.

Offset Hanger Benefits

As I was listing off the benefits I’ve found using the hanger, a few other shooters gathered around. There are a few reasons I like using the hanger.

  • I’m able to adjust the height and angle, allowing me to place the holster in the most optimum position for my style of draw.
  • The holster does not move. You’d think extra pivot points would result in the holster flopping around, but Scott’s got the machining measurements just right, and the screws hold everything in place perfectly.
  • My draw time has been reduced. We could all use a reduced draw time right?

The team at Springer Precision can anodize the hanger in three different colors plus raw aluminum, and they can engrave your name, numbers or your logo on any of their products in red, blue or black.

One of the shooters asked what I like the most about the set up. Stability, increased draw speed and the personalization “cool factor” is what it comes down to for me.

The Springer Precision hangers are available in a variety of setups depending on what holster you have. Available for both 1.55″ and 1.75″ belt widths, Scott sells the Offset Hanger as a stand-alone item, or set up for a belt and holster combination, including for P320 with the Blade-Tech holster combination I use in competition.

Along with the hangers, many of the Team SIG members are using the standard aluminum base pads for their P320 magazines engraved with names and numbers. Scott is really stepping up to support aftermarket accessories for the SIG P320 including 140mm base pads for the P320 9mm and .40 mags, an Extended Mag Release, and custom magwells for those of you shooting USPSA Limited or 3-Gun.
