Lane took the win in the Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) division as well as the overall win by about 12 points with his Grayguns-tuned SIG SAUER P320F-9.

“This year’s New England Regional was a different match than we’re used to from Metro-West Tactical,” Lane said. “It featured a diverse set of shooting challenges with legitimate options on how to shoot nearly every stage. Many stages left the shooter with and coin toss decision between long runs or difficult long range shots.”

During his career, Lane is learning more about stage design, appreciating unique courses of fire. “I particularly liked stage 14, with three arrays of hard partial targets at maximum legal distance,” Lane commented. “It was super-hard stage with several short movements and small spaces to fit reloads.”

The IDPA New England Regional is the second match in the IDPA King of New England series. The third and final match is set for mid-October at the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton, N.H. At the first match of the series in Massachusetts, Lane took the win in the ESP division and earned the overall win. Twelve stages from three matches this year will be selected as “King of New England Stages.” Title winners in each division will be selected based on the combined scores from the selected stages.

Lane won the 2015 King of New England title shooting his P320 in the Stock Service Pistol division, and this year he is competing in the ESP division. “After my good performance at the Massachusetts Championship and this weekend’s New England Regional, I head to my home-state’s New Hampshire Championship in two months in the driver’s seat to take the ESP division title,” Lane said.

The SIG P320 is a modular platform, allowing the gun to be utilized in all semi-auto IDPA divisions. With available X-Change Conversion Kits for the P320, owners can configure their gun in as little as three minutes to meet the requirements of a specific division. With the P320, you have the freedom to change calibers, size and fit, utilizing the same trigger pack.

Along with being sponsored by SIG SAUER and Grayguns, Lane is locally sponsored by New England Tactical, SIG SAUER Academy, and GT Shooting Dynamics. Nationally, Lane has sponsor support from ESS, Lucas Oil, 5.11 Tactical, GT Targets, SPD Tool, OpSpec Training, and Top Gun Supply.
